Training Them Live is a youth music community project to help young people aged 11-25 get out there and start playing music in public.
We′re here to train you:
Training Them Live is funded purely through our supporters and fund raising events which our team put on throughout the year and because so many people help us, we like to give some money back from these events to worthwhile causes such as Demelza Hospice and the Macmillan Nurses.
The best thing of all is that most events Training Them Live put on are FREE!
Training Them Live don′t just put on organised events for you to come along to, if you have a band or you′re an individual and you′re looking for more experience when playing in a live environment then get in touch. We not only run Jam nights throughout the year, where any of our young musicians can get up and get some experience, our professional band Sidetrack organise gigs in various pubs around Medway and are always looking to take any bands out to support us and gain experience by playing in front of a live audience.
Since Training Them Live started we have progressed in ways none of us thought possible, we could not have done this without the fantastic team around us and our status within Medway of “Getting things done”. Our main events are Rock Schools which are put on throughout half term and the summer period for young people to attend and learn how to play, play better and vital information about this critical industry.
Our biggest gig yet is Rochester Castle which was held on the 20th July 2008, in conjunction with Medway Council we were able to organise and put on an event which is set to run again this year.
